Paul offers a customised service, so frequency of visits, nature of work and costs will be discussed at an initial free visit to assess the garden and work. Depending on the weather and how the garden changes, these arrangements can evolve also.
I normally charge by the hour but happy to quote a maximum price for specific work. My current rate for new customers is £25 per hour. I'm willing to consider a discretionary lower rate if this is unaffordable.
Paul is fairly flexible about the way he works, happy to take a lead in planting / maintenance decisions, to work more closely with you and discuss options, or to follow specific plans and instructions.
Following matters may be useful to bear in mind:
(1) Paul has public liability insurance
(2) Work is usually invoiced on the day and payment (bank transfer or cash) due on presentation of the invoice, and arriving no later than one week after invoice date please.
(3) For larger jobs, e.g. requiring lots of plants, sometimes Paul will ask for an advance payment
(4) Parking fees will be invoiced
(5) Travelling time may be charged if the work is outside South East London
(6) Paul can take away small quantities of green waste (£1 per 75 L bag)
(7) It's fine to cancel or postpone (even at the last minute) because of unforeseen circumstances (Paul may have to do this too) but if work can't be done on the day because of lack of access, Paul will invoice for his travelling time.
(8) After an initial trial period (to check we're all happy with the arrangements) I'll do my best to give at least one month's notice (and longer if possible) if I need to stop working in your garden.
